The check-in window opens 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure of the flights. This feature is applicable to domestic as well as international flights that originate from the six metro cities of India. For the remaining cities Air India Web check-in portal becomes functional 24 hours before scheduled departure of the flights.

This feature is a great time saving experience for Air India passengers, especially for those who are always in haste. This facility enables the passengers to check in for Air India flights according to their convenience, from their homes, offices or elsewhere. All that is requisite is a PC or a Laptop that has net connectivity and a printer to take a copy of the boarding pass. Currently this facility is not available for passengers who travel from Bahrain, Dhaka, Muscat, Melbourne and Sydney.
