Indigo Airways – Leading Budget Airline Company In India

IndiGo is one of the leading budget air travel company in India, headquartered in Gurgaon. It is the fastest growing airlines in India and now holds about 32.6% of the market share. There are about 534 flights operated by IndiGo Airways daily covering about 36 destinations including five international destinations. The primary operational hub of IndiGo is the IGI Airport in Delhi.

The fleet of IndiGo consists of 84 aircraft of Airbus A320. Indigo was started back in 2006 by the renowned entrepreneur Rahul Bhatia of the InterGlobe group along with Rakesh Gangwal of the Virginia-based Caelum Investments company.

IndiGo Destinations

Indigo received a license to operate international services also in January of 2011 and now operating flights to Singapore, Bangkok, Muscat and Katmandu etc. from Mumbai and Delhi. The first international flight of IndiGo was between Delhi and Dubai, which was commenced on 1st of September 2011.
